Did you know?

100% of proceeds raised by Leading Edge Physiotherapy RunWild 2023 will go directly to two local charities: the Zebra Child and Youth Advocacy Centre and the St. Albert Seniors Association. We are also excited to be able to support Child Advocacy Centres across Alberta and will be raising funds for the Chinook Child and Youth Advocacy Centre and the Caribou Child and Youth Centre.  We feel these are very important organizations to support and we hope that you can help us reach our 2023 goal of raising $100,000. Since 2011 we have raised over $717,000. Donations of $20 or more will be eligible for a tax receipt issued by one of the supported charities.

To further help support these charities pledge a runner/walker below.

Zebra Child & Youth Advocacy Centre

For 20 years, the Zebra Child & Youth Advocacy Centre has brought together community partners including Edmonton Police Service, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Edmonton Region Children’s Services, Alberta Health Services, and Alberta Justice & Solicitor General to provide a continuum of support, in a child-friendly environment, for children and youth who have experienced abuse. In 2022, the Zebra Centre helped 4,272 children and youth.

Your participation and fundraising efforts through RunWild goes towards funding our Child Support Services Programs, which includes our Backpack Home program where a child will get a backpack full of appropriate clothing, pajamas, personal items, and toys and Hope’s Toy Closet where a child selects a brand new toy to celebrate their bravery. Your efforts ensure the Zebra Centre is able to continue to support children and youth who have experienced abuse and to provide a safe space where kids can tell. Contributions such as yours allowed us to provide services to 4,272 children, youth and their families in 2022, an 11% increase over 2021.

Whether you are striving to achieve a personal best, running for the first time, jogging with family and friends, or participating for the WILD time, we hope you have a great time and enjoy getting active for our local non-profits. Thank you for making a difference in your community!

St. Albert Seniors Association

The St. Albert Seniors Association is the “hub” for the seniors in our community! Our mission is to Enhance the lives of older adults with activities and services. As the only seniors’ organization in St. Albert we have the unique opportunity to not only offer a place of community and recreation for those 50, but also a place to come for support and assistance in the areas of transportation, information and more. Our Seniors Services Coordinator works one-on-one with older adults (50) and their families who need support. One of the biggest challenges we face is isolation in seniors. We strive to keep seniors in our community connected. This is more important now than ever! We are so grateful for your support, your generosity ensures that we continue to support the seniors of St. Albert in living enriched and meaningful lives. To learn more about what we do visit our website at www.stalbertseniors.ca
