How do I receive the RunWild newsletters?
Click "Get in Touch" on the menu bar at the top of the page. Scroll down and subscribe to our newsletter.
Does RunWild have an App?
Can a parent register to run with my child?
The MaraFun is intended for children 4-12 years of age. If you are a parent and wish to run with your child, there is no need to register for the MaraFun race. We also welcome you to register for the 5k, 10k or half marathon run or walk!
How do I know if my child is registered?
You will receive an email confirmation notice from Leading Edge Physiotherapy RunWild. Only online registrations will be accepted. If you are unable to locate your confirmation email, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What type of payment do you accept?
The online registration system will accept Visa and Mastercard payments. Prepaid credit cards/debit cards are not accepted.
Oh no I forgot to register before the deadline! Can I still sign up?
We will be accepting late registrations at race package pick up on June 9, 10 & 11 from 3:30 - 8:00 pm at the St. Albert Seniors Association at 7 Tache Street. Our team will be using the Square Point of Sales for credit card transactions. Cash payments and American Express credit cards will not be accepted. Late registrants are not guaranteed a race package that includes their preferred race t-shirt size.
How do I get my Race Package (shirt, medal, etc.)?
If you selected to pick up your race package, pick up will occur at the St. Albert Seniors Association located at Red Willow Place, 7 Tache Street, St. Albert, Alberta. Current AHS guidelines regarding the COVID 19 pandemic will be followed.

Can I have my race package mailed to me?
Yes, select the mail race package option when completing registration. Please be aware that any request for shipping of the race package on registrations occurring after May 16th cannot be guaranteed to arrive before the June 12th race weekend.
Can I secure pledges to help raise money for the Zebra Child Protection Centre, the Pilgrims Hospice Society, the St. Albert Seniors Association, the Calgary and Area Child Advocacy Centre, Caribou Child Advocacy Centre, Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre, or the Chinook Child Advocacy Centre?
Yes, please. Every dollar counts towards our fund raising goal of $100,000.
We challenge you to collect $5/km from each of your pledges, but even $1/km would help our charities significantly.
For 2021, there will be no paper pledge forms. All donations must be completed online.
Where can I get a map?
Maps are provided on the events pages in the race route section. These maps are optional routes and participants are not required to complete these specific routes. If choosing to run one of the suggested routes, please be sure to familiarize yourself with the course ahead of time.
What do I receive for participating in the race?
All participants receive a race package including a T-shirt, race bib and a medal.
Race Day Questions
How do I track my race?
Participants can use their preferred tracking device to record their race details. The RunWild Race leaderboard will be available starting June 9 for racers to upload their time and photos to during race weekend. Click here to access the leaderboard.
Can I walk instead of run?
Yes. Walkers are invited to enter in all race events. We have even had racers in wheelchairs and with crutches compete the route.
Are there course markers?
As RunWild 2021 is a virtual event, there will be no course markers. Participants should run or walk with caution.
Will there be a virtual race weekend program?
Yes! A schedule of virtual events will be included in the race packages for those who selected in-person race package pick up and will be emailed out to racers who selected to have their race package mailed. Virtual events will include Facebook Live warm-ups, restorative sessions and a short stage program at the conclusion of race weekend. Keep an eye out on our social media for more information.
