General Information
Location
All race day activities will start in front of St. Albert Place, except for the WildOnes Kids MaraFun. The WildOnes warm up will take place in front of the main stage in Lions Park and the Start Line is across the Children’s Bridge on the North side of the Sturgeon River (walking distance from Lions Park).
Start and Finish Area
The Start area for all RunWild events is located in front of St. Albert Place, 5 St. Anne Street. The finish area for all RunWild events is located on Tache Street with the Celebration Village in Lions Park.
Race Package Pickup
You must pick up your race package at the St.Albert Running Room #17 St. Anne Street, St. Albert, AB T8N 1E8 on:
Thursday, May 3, 2012 4-8pm
Friday, May 4, 2012 12-8pm
Saturday, May 5, 2012 10am- 5pm
*Printed confirmation or picture ID is required for package pick-up. If you cannot make it to pick up your package, you can have a friend or family member pick it up on your behalf with your printed confirmation.
Transportation/Parking
There is free parking for participants in designated parking areas across from St. Albert Place, kitty corner to Grandin Mall and along Perron Street.
Road Closures
Please allow yourself extra time to make it to the start area of the race. Check back on the RunWild website closer to the race date for important road closure information.
Race Number & B-Tag Timing Chips
All participants receive a race bib and timing chip at registration. The bib must
remain unmodified and pinned to the front of your shirt, clearly displayed
throughout
the entire race. Participants not wearing a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be timed or receive a finishing medal.
B-Tag timing chips are attached to the back of the race bib. The chip must remain on the back of your race bib in order for your time to be recorded and appear in the results.
Water and Aid Stations
The 10K race has 2 water stations on course.
The Half Marathon has 10 water stations located on course, approximately every 2km.
The Leading Edge RunWild Marathon has 15 water stations located on course, approximately every 3km.
Pace Zebras
Pace Zebras are provided for the Marathon and Half-Marathon and are identified by Zebra ears & tails and holding a sign with their pace time. At the race start, line up near your pacer. See specific race information for pace groups.
